Movies That Were Books First? In MY DVD LIbrary? Its More Likely Than You Think!

Post by SpaggyB »

An open and ongoing list of movies that are actually book adaptions that you may not know about, listed as Movie - (Title, Author)

Audition - (Audition, Ryu Murakami)
Drive - (Drive, James Sallis)
Apocalypse Now - (The Heart of Darkness, Joseph Conrad)
Brokeback Mountain - (Brokeback Mountain, Anne Proulx)
Requiem for a Dream - (Requiem for a Dream, Hubert Selby Jr)
American Psycho - (American Psycho, Bret Easton Ellis)

Ill add to this as they come up, but just assume that in like 97% of cases, if there's a movie, there was probably a book first

a cool thing about this is if you ever have to write a report to prove you've seen a movie you can just read the book instead
